Operating Guidelines
- Run-out tolerance: Keep total indicator run-out (TIR) below 0.01 mm at the tool tip for optimal life.
- Coolant: Flood coolant or through-spindle coolant (TSC) recommended. Minimum 5% oil emulsion.
- Entry strategy: Use helical ramp entry or pre-drilled start hole. Avoid direct plunge with square endmills.
- Stepover: For finishing, use ae = 5–10% of D1. For roughing, ae = 30–50% of D1.
- Chip load: Start at lower end of fz range and increase gradually while monitoring spindle load.
- Tool life check: Inspect flank wear (VB) every 30 min. Retire tool when VB exceeds 0.15 mm.
- Storage: Store in original packaging away from moisture and vibration.
