  • Speed & Feed: Start at middle of recommended Vc range. Standard geometry allows higher speeds with stable setups.
  • Coolant: Flood coolant recommended for steel and stainless. Air blast acceptable for cast iron and some aluminum applications.
  • Engagement: Maximum radial engagement (ae) 0.25×D for finishing, 0.5×D for general profiling.
  • Runout: Maintain TIR ≤ 0.008 mm at tool tip for best surface finish and tool life.
  • Ramping: Maximum ramp angle 3° for full flute engagement. Helical entry at 1-2° recommended.
  • Tool Life Indicator: Monitor flank wear on primary cutting edges. Regrind when VB = 0.12 mm or when dimensional tolerance exceeds 0.02 mm.
