  • Peck Drilling Cycle: For depths > 2.5×D, use full retract peck (G83) with peck depth = 0.5×D. For depths 2×D–2.5×D, use partial retract peck (G73) with 0.2×D peck.
  • Entry Angle: Ensure perpendicular entry (±1°) to prevent corner chipping. Use spotting drill (90°–120°) for precise start.
