The Kyocera SGS 1/2 SGS30180 is a solid-carbide 4-flute, square-end end mill with a Weldon-flat (WF) shank, from the Kyocera SGS general-purpose milling program. The 1/2″ (12.7 mm) cutting diameter is built for production slotting, side milling and pocketing where positive, slip-free tool clamping is essential.
The ground Weldon flat locks the tool against rotation and pull-out in side-lock holders — the safest clamping method for heavy cuts — while the uncoated, diamond-polished micro-grain carbide cutting edges stay razor-sharp and free-cutting in aluminum, brass, copper and other non-ferrous materials.
