Operating Guidelines

  • Runout: Maintain spindle runout <0.01 mm (TIR) to prevent premature corner wear and ensure hole straightness.
  • Coolant: Use high-pressure through-spindle coolant (≥70 bar) for deep-hole applications to ensure effective chip flushing.
  • Peck Cycle: For depths exceeding 3×D, employ a peck cycle with 1–1.5×D retract to break chips and prevent packing.
  • Entry Angle: Use a chamfer or center drill to avoid burr formation and ensure accurate entry positioning.
