10. Operating Guidelines

  • Run-out Check: Ensure tool run-out at the cutting edge is < 0.005 mm (0.0002″). Excessive run-out causes uneven flute loading and premature failure.
  • Coolant Strategy: Flood coolant is recommended for steel and stainless. For aluminum, mist or air blast prevents chip re-cutting. Avoid thermal shock when switching between dry and wet cutting.
